Welcome to Old and Battered. These terms and conditions explain the rules for using our website and for buying products from us. Please read them carefully. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our website.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Old and Battered2026, the company that runs the Old and Battered website. "You" and "your" mean the person using our website or buying from us. "The website" means oldandbattered.com and all of its pages.
The Old and Battered website is run by Old and Battered2026. Our registered address is
Norwin, Rue Des Salines,Grandes Rocques, Castel Guernsey GY5 7XG.
If you need to reach us, you can email Info@oldandbattered.com. You can find more ways to contact us at the end of this page.
We may update these terms from time to time. We might do this to follow new laws, to add new services, or to make things clearer. The latest version will always be on this page.
The date at the top of this page shows when we last made a change. When you place an order, the terms that were on this page at that time will apply to your order.
You may use our website to look at our products and to place orders. When you use our website, you agree to the following:
We may limit or block your access to the website if you break these rules. We may also remove content that we feel is not suitable.
We work hard to keep the website running well. But we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may need to pause the website for updates or repairs.
You may be able to create an account on our website. If you do, please keep your login details safe. Do not share your password with anyone.
You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has used your account, please tell us straight away.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If you are under 18, you may only use the website with the help of a parent or guardian.
All the content on our website belongs to us or to the people who let us use it. This includes our name, logo, photos, text, designs and graphics.
You may look at and enjoy this content for your own personal use. You may not copy, sell or reuse it for business reasons without our written permission.
We try to show our products as clearly as we can. We use photos and descriptions to help you choose.
Please note that colours may look slightly different on your screen. This depends on your device and its settings. Small differences are normal and are not a fault.
Some of our items are second-hand, vintage or worn by design. These items may show natural wear, marks or small flaws. This is part of their style and charm. We will describe the condition of each item as honestly as we can.
All products depend on stock. We may sell out of an item at any time. If an item you ordered is no longer available, we will let you know and give you a full refund for that item.
The price of each product is shown on its page. We show prices in GBP.
We try to keep all prices correct. But mistakes can happen. If we find that an item was priced wrongly, we will contact you before we send it. You can then choose to pay the right price or cancel the order.
Delivery costs are not included in the product price. We will show any delivery costs clearly before you pay. Please see the delivery section below for more details.
When you place an order, you make an offer to buy the product from us. Your order is not accepted straight away.
After you order, we will send you an email to confirm we have received it. This email is not our acceptance of your order.
Your order is only accepted when we send you a second email to say your item has been sent. A contract between you and us is formed at that point.
We may refuse an order for any fair reason. For example, we may refuse an order if the item is out of stock, if there was a pricing error, or if we cannot take payment.
You must pay for your order in full before we send it. We accept the payment methods shown at the checkout.
All payments are handled by a trusted payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our website.
By placing an order, you confirm that the payment method you use belongs to you, or that you have permission to use it.
We ship our products around the world. The delivery options and costs for your country will be shown at the checkout.
We will give you an estimated delivery time when you order. Please treat this as a guide and not a promise. Delivery times can change due to the postal service, the weather, busy periods or customs checks.
We will send your order to the address you give us. Please check that your address is correct. We cannot be responsible for orders sent to a wrong address that you gave us.
Risk for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to your address. This means the goods are your responsibility once you receive them.
If your order is shipped to a country outside Guernsey, it may pass through customs. Some countries charge import taxes, duties or other fees on goods that arrive from abroad.
These charges are set by your own country, not by us. They are not included in the price you pay us, and we cannot predict them.
You are responsible for paying any customs charges or import taxes on your order. If you are not sure what charges may apply, please check with your local customs office before you order.
We want you to be happy with your Old & Battered purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you may return eligible items within 14 days of delivery.
Items must be unworn, unused, and in their original condition with any tags or packaging still attached. We cannot accept returns on personalised items or items that have been worn, washed or damaged after delivery.
If you would like to request an exchange or return, please contact us first using the contact details provided at the end of this page. We will provide instructions on how to return your item.
Customers are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty, damaged or sent incorrectly.
Once your return has been received and inspected, refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. Please allow up to 7 working days for the refund to appear in your account depending on your payment provider.
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include photos where possible so we can resolve the issue quickly.
If you have a question about a return before this section is complete, please contact us using the details at the end of this page.
If you change your mind after you order, please contact us as soon as you can. If your order has not been sent yet, we will try to cancel it and give you a full refund.
If your order has already been sent, you may need to follow our returns process instead. Please see the returns section above.
Your right to cancel an order or return goods may also depend on the law where you live. The returns section will explain this in more detail once it is complete.
We want you to be happy with what you buy. If your item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please tell us as soon as you can.
Please email us within 14 days of receiving the item. Where you can, please send a photo of the problem. This helps us sort things out quickly.
If an item is faulty or not as described, we will offer you a repair, a replacement or a refund. Please remember that natural wear on vintage and second-hand items is not a fault if we described it correctly.
Sometimes things happen that we cannot control. This can include extreme weather, strikes, power cuts, postal delays, war or public health events.
If one of these events delays your order, we will not be at fault. We will contact you and do our best to help. If the delay is very long, we may offer you a refund.
We will carry out our service with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss that is a clear result of our mistake.
We are not responsible for loss that we could not have expected. We are also not responsible for loss linked to a business, such as lost profit or lost income, as our products are sold for personal use.
Nothing in these terms removes any legal rights you have that cannot be removed by law. We do not limit our responsibility for death or injury caused by our own carelessness, or for fraud.
Our website may link to other websites that we do not run. We share these links to be helpful.
We do not control these other websites and we are not responsible for their content. If you visit a linked website, you do so at your own risk. Please read that website's own terms and privacy policy.
We respect your privacy and we look after your personal information with care. When you use our website or place an order, we collect and use some of your details.
To learn what information we collect and how we use it, please read our Privacy Policy. By using our website, you agree to the way we handle your information as set out in that policy.
If you are unhappy with our products or service, please tell us. We would like the chance to put things right.
Please contact us using the details below. We will look into your concern and reply as soon as we can. We aim to be fair and to sort out any problem in a friendly way.
